On behalf of the International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS), the Dipartimento di Agricoltura, Alimentazione e Ambiente of University of Catania is pleased to invite scientists, professionals and business representatives with an interest in organic agriculture to attend the ISHS 3rd International Organic Fruit Symposium and 1st International Organic Vegetable Symposium.

Sicily, with its 450.000 hectares of certified agricultural land is the most important Italian region for organic agriculture and together with Calabria and Apulia represent the 46% of organic certified national surface. During the past few months, at the ISHS board of directors it was agreed that Catania would have been a suitable location for researchers, professionals and students to provide great opportunity to meet and exchange ideas in a warm and friendly environment.

Besides the strictly scientific content, the aim of the event is to generate a positive impact not only for the scientific community but also for the entire industry sector. We expect the participation of more than 100 researchers and qualified growers and stakeholders from all over the world.
